Implant Learning Center

Dental implants are the most natural-looking and long-lasting solution for replacing missing teeth. The titanium posts are actually implanted into the jawbone to act as a natural tooth root would, preserving your bone structure in the jaw and providing a solid foundation for your replacement tooth.

With your new dental implants, you will regain the confidence to speak freely, smile and eat whatever you want! With proper care and regular brushing, flossing and dental checkups, your implant should last you a lifetime. Unlike other replacement options, they will not need to be adjusted or replaced over the years. They will look and feel just like a natural tooth!

Why Dental Implants?

Dental implants are the most permanent and natural-looking solution for replacing missing teeth. Not only are they highly functional, they are beautiful and will preserve the appearance of your jawbone. When teeth are lost, the jawbone naturally begins to disintegrate. Dental implants are able to prevent this from happening.

What is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is a titanium post that is placed into the jawbone and fused with the surrounding bone in a process called osseointegration. Once the implant is fused and healed, an abutment will be placed that will act as a strong foundation for your replacement crown. We create our patients’ crowns individually so they blend perfectly and seamlessly with the rest of their smile.

How long do dental implants take?

The process for getting a dental implant takes a few months. Once the dental implant is placed, the fusion and healing process takes between three and six months. Considering your dental implants will last you a lifetime with no adjusting or replacing, the wait is well worth it!

Are dental implants for me?

If you are missing a tooth, you are most likely a candidate for dental implants. However, dental implants require a certain amount of bone density for proper placement. During your consultation we will be able to determine if you are a proper candidate. For those who do not have enough bone density, we are able to perform bone grafting that should provide ample bone matter.

How much do dental implants cost?

The cost of your dental implant will depend on the number of teeth being replaced, whether or not you require a bone graft, and the number of implants required to support the replacement teeth. During your consultation we will be able to assess the cost for your particular needs and give you a proper estimate. Most often, dental implants are not covered by dental insurance carriers.

What is All-On-4 Technology?

With All-On-4 technology, your new smile can be built in our laboratory and placed all in one visit! The treatment involves implanting four fixed dental implants in a single dental surgery. Patients will be able to use their implants on that same day. Great candidates for this procedure include patients who are currently using dentures or who will need dentures in the future. The All-on-4® treatment is very cost effective in comparison with traditional implants. The All-on-4 implants provide up to a decade of use with the proper care.
